RAM Sweetspot

I have 1.25 GB of RAM.  It is abour 35% utilized after 2 days.  Is this enough for a speedy box with 6 nodes and not a lot of added rules?  RAM is cheap but I won't add it if it won't matter.

    for that few of nodes, even with all features enabled, you'd be OK with only 1GB... so you're fine.  I run more than that on older 512MB units all the time, though I consider 1GB perfect unless one's running a LOT of clients.

    Actually Astaro has their Linux kernel highly detuned.  They have to reduce the natural caching of hte kernel so astaro wil shoehorn into the asg 1xx systems.  In a normal Linux system your memory usage should always be near 90-98% with little or no swap.  Because Astaro has to neuter this caching action Astaro itself actually takes a performance hit because the system has to go to the hard disk much more instead of being able to put frequently accessed files into ram.
