  • Astaro is linux... you don't load it on top of anything, it is it's own OS.

    If you HAVE to load it on top of an OS, load VMWare Server, and download the prebuilt ASG Images from download.astaro.com.

  • hello

    I  understood   that ..... And I  had already test  installing  astaro version iso.6; on VMware server console, and the test was very successfull,

    But the current problem is that I want to try installing astaro-security-gateway-va-7_100.zip under linux, but I didn't find any conclusive documentation on that    [:(];

    Because my goal is  to install astaro on a   hosted machine ;

    I know very well that I am a beginner in this area, but I hope to have a positive response from you.

    Best regards
  • On your linux system, load VM Ware Server (or ESX Server if you have it)... expand the .zip file you downloaded, and mount the VM in the VMWare Server management console.  Edit the network interfaces as needed for your configuration, then boot the VM.  In the readme or help file (that's in the same FTP directory you downloaded the VM from) it explains how to perform initial configuration of the system.

    Thank you  .[:)]
  • Have you read the manual and online docs found in the FTP folder... it really does explain how to implement both the standalone and vmware versions quite well.
