Is there a way to set the frequency at which ASG v7 checks for updates? Or maybe limit the time frame or something? It really interferes with bandwidth sensitive apps.
There's no way around this using the WebAdmin except for disabling the up2date service completely and just "triggering" it manually whenever you feel like it.
You can manually edit the /etc/crontab, the line where audld.plx is started (this is the downloader), to only run at certain times, but bear in mind that this file is dynamically created and might be overwritten on config changes. But as long as you know what you're doing, and your config doesn't change too often, this will solve your problem. Of course this means doing a modification as root user and will void your support.
