Problems after upgrading to 7.100

Hello 

I tried to do a firmware update from 7.011. to 7.100
That didn't work out very well.
 
After reboot I received this errors:
 
The following Firmware Up2Date package has been successfully downloaded and is now available for installation: 7.101
 
For more information about this package please see the attached information.
        
WebAdmin webserver not running - restarted
 
Snort not running - restarted
 
Firmware Up2Date installation failed: Errors during the package installation, installation failed (10) Please check the up2date log file for detailed information.
 
Up2Date prefetch failed: All 12 Authentication Servers failed
 
New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 7.100.

It looks like that only the webadmin and portal are not active. 
I can still receive mail and the proxy is still active. 
PPTP VPN is active bu SSL VPN not.


What is the best way to fix this?
I have a support contract, but can;t add a support request on the site because my reseller activated my license. 
(But i have the license file with id included.)
 
* (forgot to say that I can enter the console without problems. Only have no knowledge of it.)

    Yes did a reboot twice. Didn;t help.
    Monday sepose to be my free day, but i guess i to do a reinstall at work.

    I had this very thing happen on 12/31 around 11:30. The system needed to go up to 7.011 and then 7.100. Perhaps stupidly, I clicked the button to update to latest firmware instead of applying them one at a time, as I usually do.

    I spent most of this morning working remotely through the Remote Insight board (this is  a Proliant DL360 G5), and finally managed to restore from my last good backup (12/29) via USB key at startup. All is fine now. That's the last time I'm going to do an update when I'm not onsite, though. In this case, I'm 300 miles away from the box!

    Very frustrating.

    Some notifications which piled up and finally came through when services came up (I had *no* public or private IP access to the box other than the system console):
    Firmware Up2Date installation failed: Errors during the package installation, installation failed (10)
    Please check the up2date log file for detailed information.

    Snort not running - restarted

    Middleware not running - restarted

    hi,

    we had the same problem. everything was fine, after we did the installation by hand using ssh. you can find the syntax here in the forum somewhere, it's rpm -U --force as far as i remember.
    (don't forget the --force option [;)])

    The first problem is solved by a Astaro Partner in Holland with help of support.  They fixed the webservice, so the admin panel and the portal are active again.
    Upgrading to 7.101 did fix this problem, but don't know how they fixt it.

    My second problem:
    SSL VPN is not working for Active Directory users. This is a certificate problem., and they are stil trying to fix this to.

    So, you were able to re-apply the update from the command line and it started up without incident, or you still had to restore from backup?

    I discovered yesterday (Friday) that I should have really restarted the box once more following the restore. I made some IP address changes which forced the VPNs to renegotiate, and I had a handful which would simply not stay up.

    I'm not sure whether there were changes made to the handling of NAT traversal, but the three most troublesome remote sites were each behind NATs. On the ASG side, the default Nat-T keepalive timeout is 60 seconds. On the remote ends (using SonicWALL TZ170 boxes), the default is 240 seconds. I found that after I rebooted the Astaro *and* lowered the SonicWALLs to 60 seconds, I was finally able to keep them up. I don't know which step was the charm, but I do know that I have more remote sites behind NATs which I have not (yet) tweaked.

    All in all, the path to 7.100 was a rather bumpy ride on this box (in contrast, one of my own boxes upgraded without incident - my other box is still running v6).
