[ASG220 7.100] Link down after reboot

Since firmware version 7.100 I have problems on an ASG220 with port eth1 connected to a cisco router. After a reboot the link is shown as down and it actually does not work. After disabling the interface and enabling it again from within webadmin everything works fine ... until the next reboot.

This occurs only after upgrade to 7.100. 

Can anybody help.

    Sounds wierd... but try a different cable.  If it's a straight-thru ethernet cable, replace it with a crossover... if it's a crossover cable, swap it for a straight-thru ethernet cable... I had this very thing happen with a custom system that we had built for a customer with Intel PRO100 NICs.  We updated it from 7.011 to 7.100, and suddenly the WAN link (to an Adtran router) went down... it had a regular ethernet cable before (worked fine, even through reboots, for months before the update)... swapping to a crossover cable fixed it.  Astaro updated a bunch of drivers in the 7.100 build, and I think some of the drivers have issues.

    Sounds really wierd but I'll give it a try. 

    To add some things:
    Right after the reboot the link is up and the firewall is pingable. After a couple of seconds (10-20) the link goes down. As I wrote, after disabling and enabling the interface it remains in a stable working condition.
    Also I have seen on another ASG220 with rel 7.1 that after the reboot the link is up, then it goes down for a couple of seconds, then it comes up again and remains in that condition.

    For me it looks like a buggy autonegotiation with the device on the other side of the cable. So I will try to change it to a cross-over one. Will see whether it helps. Thanks for your hint.

    I had a problem a while back with 7.0x, where it looked like my cable modem was offline, but it turned out that the NIC was down as well... I'm not sure what happened, but rebooting ASL solved the problem.

    I didn't have any problems with the 7.1 upgrade though.
