System Up2Date issues 7.007 upward

I installed Sys Up2Dates and Im at 7.007 but Im not sure if it was totally successful. Thats whats listed as current version but I think it hung when I installed it and after logging back in, once I went into the Up2Date it seemed to refresh the version to 7.007 from 7.004 (I did a 2-3 in a row).

I cannot get the 7.008+ Up2Dates to install. I get install failed message every time. I tried to restore a backup file thats a 7.004 file thinking it would install 7.004 (back-date me to before the updates), but it doesnt seem to be doing that.

The manual also says a factory reset doesnt remove versions of the sys Up2Date.

I have to either fix what I have or go back to where I started. In either case, I cant figure out how to do either one. Im just starting to config this ASG120 so starting from scratch is not a totally unacceptable scenario if thats whats needed.

  • What I would do would be to backup the configuration (if you want to keep it), get the special Appliance image from your reseller (7.100 should be out soon, if not, get the 7.011 image) and reload via an USB CDROM Drive.  Do not try to use the ISO on the public FTP site, your 120 license will not apply correctly to it.

Let's focus on that error. Why doesn't the 7.008 up2date work for you? What's the error in the log files?
