V6.312 OK but unable to install V7 on that box

I have a PIII 700 with 256MB ram that I have V6 running on. When I try to install V7 on this machine it fails. Right after the step that says "warning this is your last chance.." it says "Installation failed, remove the cd and reboot", just as soon as you hit the F8 key, it doesn't even try to begin to install.

I have tried all 3 install types all with the exact same result. [:(]

Does anyone have any idea why this may be?

    Not sure as to why it fails, but--you need at least 512MB (768MB or 1GB is even better) to run Version 7... I think you'll get very inconsistent performance with less.
