Unable to Install ASG v7.011

When I attempt to install the latest version of the ASG, it stops on Step 3 of the installation process and displays the following:

"Installation failed, please remove cd-rom and restart the system"

I tried all of the different installation choices and none of them worked.

My equipment is as follows:

1. Motherboard: Intel Desktop Board "Media Series" DP35DP - "For the Intel Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Due Processors".

2. Chipset: Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor E2140, LGA775, 1.60 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB

3. 2 NICs and the 1 that is onboard the motherboard.

4. RAM: (2) 1 Gig Sticks of: Optima Memory DDR 2 - PC2-5300 (DDR2-667/533/400).


Any idea why I am receiving this alert also anyone?

    How many hard drives / cd rom drives are in the system?  Make sure there's only one of each...

    Also, if your using SATA, try setting the mode it runs in to Legacy in the BIOS..  If you are attempting ICH raid, give up, it won't work.

    Also, if none of these things makes a difference, try installing in classic mode -- at the initial boot: screen, type in classic..

    I have one IDE Drive and one CDROM drive in it.  My motherboard supports SATA, however I only have an IDE cable for mine.  I set it for Legacy in my BIOS, even tried the Native selection with IDE only too.  Still no luck.  I tried all 3 install methods and all I get is the same install error on step 3.  I am wondering if something I have is not going to work and I just need to go back to a simple Pentium 4 Processor and motherboard.
         I have pretty much everything disabled in the BIOS that is extra.  I even tried disabling the Dual Core function of my chip temporarily too...still no luck. Any further ideas on what to check?  I know my video card, since I had to buy one, my motherboard did not have one built in, is a ATI, 64 MB PCI Express card...would that affect anything??

    While you're installing... right before you get to the stop where it quits, type in  F3, or  F4 ... you might see what's failing.
