Chassis Temperature and Fan Status

Any one know if it's possible to get the chassis temperature and fan status of ASG's? On Foundry equipment for example you could do a 'show chassis' or pull various gauges via SNMP or even trap over temp or fan failure events.

Do ASGs have chassis temperature limits or will they just cook in their own juice so to speak?

  • Most Intel Platform equipment I've ever used had a built-in shutdown feature when it overheated (supported in the BIOS and / or the processor itself.  I can verify that I've spotted the temp thermistors on the system boards in the appliances ... so it's probably nothing to worry about.
