Ive been running Astaro v. 7.005 for a while now, but yesterday I ran the up2dates that we're available. Among these updates I saw that two of them required a reboot because of a new kernel. Well, I ran these updates and then after the reboot it wouldn't recognize my NICs. I created a fresh backup before I did this so I thought that I could just reinstall by downloading the latest version of Astaro v. 7.011-071015-1 and install it. But still it cant initialize the NICs. Ive tried to reinstall version 7.005 again but I get the same error on boot. Its been working fine for 4-5 months now without any problems so I'm very confused why it cant use my NICs even if I reinstall the same version that has been working before this happened. The hardware I'm using is a HP ProLiant DL320 G5 with 2gb of RAM and 2x80gb SATA hdd's with a Intel Xeon CPU. The NIC's are two built-in; Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5714 Gigabit Ethernet and a dual card Intel 82571EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller. Its e1000 module for the Intel and tg3 for the Broadcom. At boot time I get this error: "Starting NIC initialization: Failed". And in the kernel log I can see this: "modprobe: FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.16-43-46-smp/modules.dep: No such file or directory". When I look in this directory I see a different kernel version its 2.6.16.43-54-smp.
How do I fix this? It wont help reinstalling..
