firmware update from v.7.07

Hi,

I have firmware updates available (7.08,7.09,7.10,7.11) which are not yet installed.

Is there a recommeded method to installing these? ie directly one after the other or one and then wait for a period before installing the next? or anything elese to consider?

Am I right in thinking that  factory restore should return to the original shipped version (in my case v7.07).?

    Probably the safest way to install them is to reboot before and after each update, though this is rarely required. It would probably be a good idea to reboot before the 7.008 update as there have been some issues applying that one.

    I always make/email a backup of the configuration before and after each update as well.

    It is best to be onsite in case something goes drastically wrong and you have to restore from said backups, though again, this is rarely needed.

    If you wait a couple minutes after each one is applied, that is generally a good idea, as well, I have had issues in the past when applying updates too quickly.

    A factory restore will not revert back to your original shipped version, it will only reset the configuration while maintaining the version you are on.

    To go back to a previous version, you need to restore from CD.
