We have a homebrew machine built that's run v5. We've grown, and needed to become up to date too.
So I took an intermediate machine, installed v6 on it. Upgraded it to latest v6, imported our v5 config, rebooted, downloaded that v6 config.
Then we bought an Astaro Appliance. We upgraded it from 7.03 to 7.07, then imported our v6 config.
The configuration looks like it imported everything, that it can, as it should. So I setup our smtp proxy information.
Then we put it into production. Big mistake! [:(] Our internal networks can go outbound http just fine. But here's what's not working:
1. External traffic (mainly web) inbound via dnat to our internal servers.
2. External cannot even ping a webhead that's internal.
3. Internal machines that have packet filter rules so they can ssh-outbound could not do so, either.
Externally I could ping the external interface of the f/w.
External smtp traffic was making it inbound to our internal mail servers just fine (via the smtp proxy running on the asl).
If anyone has any ideas on what to check, or what I missed from the documentation that I didn't do correctly in the conversion I would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane
