Hello, I'm trying to get ASG v7.007 installed and so far I've had no luck. I have some random parts that i assembled to build a box or two. The first system I tried was an Athlon XP 1700+, Shuttle AK31v3.1 (Via KT266 Chipset), 768 MB RAM, Maxtor 20GB ATA100 HDD, Sony DRU120 DVD Burner, 2x 3com 3c905-TX NICs.
I tired all install types and spent some time browsing the forums and HCL to find out that chipset probably isn't supported. So i moved to a new pile of hardware.
System 2: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+, Asus M2NBP-VM (Nvidia Quatro + nForce430B) MoBo, 2 GB DDR2 800, Built-in NIC, Netgear FA311 Gigabit NIC, Same HDD, Same DVD.
Anyone have an idea pn what might be the problem? I have a "bricked" ASG 120 that was toasted in a lightning strike and I would like to get something up and running to replace it. Thanks
EDIT:
After enduring some frustration I decided to take apart me External DVD RW Drive in one last attempt to get it installed... Apparently ASG and Sony drives don't play well together. Problem solved.
