Can no longer access website

Hi all,
I am running ASG V7 (precisely 7.06) and can no longer access Websites via browser behind ASG.  I am able to successfully ping the hostnames configured in my packet filter but am unable to browse.  I am also unable to download my email (POP3) via my client behind ASG.

Lastly, I can no longer log into Webadmin nor as root on the console ad the passwords were known.  I have seen many posts on password reset but I'm afraid I'm still a novice at some of the CLI references suggested.

Any help is appreciated.

    The questions in my mind are what changes were made on your Astaro before this happened and are you the only one with access to WebAdmin in your environment?
     
    Very odd that all these things stop working at once also locking you out the Astaro administration vectors.  Have you tried SSH, if enabled?

    The password issue with Webadmin was resovlved via a reboot.  I changed the root password via Management -> System Settings -> Shell Access.

    I did not make any changes to Astaro before this Web issue occured but I did disable all Packet Filtering except for the ANY/ANY Allow and I still am unable to browse from clients behind Astaro, very strange.

    There was a bad set of IDS/IPS rules sent out yesterday that stopped surfing, which should be fixed by today.  Switching off IPS, P2P and IM control until new rulesets get to the firewall is the workaround.

    wow, thumbs up! this problem took me about 5 hours - including the complete rebuild of the config.

    does astaro actually a check, before updates go online?
