Well i tried the prefetcher again. Things got ugly:
First ALL email stopped being fetched.
When i shutdown the prefetcher and waited for bout 10 minutes still no prefetch. I then rebooted and the machine shot up to a load factor of 15+ with notifier.plx at 8 instances. Another reboot made that worse so i logged in as root and began killing notifier processes. I had to turn off pop3 proxy AND http proxy to get network functionality.
notifier.plx instances are back up to 5 now with a load of 11 and climbing. Time for another firewall once again. See you folks at v 7.1..[:(]
