Performance Question !

Hi All

Up to now i use a V6 Version on an IBM e-series Server. 
Now i want to use V7. I installed in on the same Server
but it was way to slow.

Our Network has something about 300-400 Clients.
What would be the minimum requierment Server for
that kind of an Network.

We mostly use HP-Servers btw. so do i need a realtivly
new one like "Proliant DL 360 G5" or can i go on useing an
older one.

depends..what are the specs of the current server?

With v7 you really have to increase your hardware.  For a network of your size at least 3 - 4 gigs of ram and at least a dual core cpu running at 2.0 ghz(3.0 ghz if you are using p-4 dual cores).  Hard disks should be scsi/sas 10 or 15k with at least 80 gigs.

One last Question about Compatibility.

We are going for a solution with a
HP DL360R x3.0/1333 G5  like its in the
Compatibility List. I would like to add an 4 Port Nic
but the one mention in the Server Adds isn't in the
Compatibility List from Astaro.

So does anyone Knows if a 

   Controller NC364T 4-Port 1000T | 4 x 10/100/1000 PCI-E
   (HP NC364T PCI Express Quad Port Gigabit Server Adapter)

is going to work ?

Last I checked, HP was re-branding an Intel 4-port NIC, but were out of stock. That was PCI-X though, not PCI-E.

I ended up getting an Intel from CDW and it worked fine.
