For those with appliances. Has anyone tried making a USB flash drive bootable and adding the files in the SAI ISO to it for upgrading? I don't have an external USB CD-ROM and want to avoid having to buy one if possible. I have plenty of flash drives sitting around though.
Update: Found this thread - http://astaro.org/showthread.php?t=18519&highlight=flash . Bruce says that he got a flash drive with the ISO image from an Astaro channel rep. Not sure if he means just the .iso file is on it or the files within the .iso. Hopefully Bruce will see this and I can get clarification, like a Dir listing. [[:)]]
Update 2: Doesn't look like this is possible unless I'm able to at least get an image (ghost, acronis, etc.) of one of the CDFS formated flash drives, so I can them apply that same image to my device. The software necessary to create a CDFS partition on one of these drives and size it appropriately are very heavily controlled by the flash drive makers and to this date have not leaked out onto the web. *sigh* Feel free to have the rep shoot me a PM here so I can beg him for one Bruce. Update3: Possibly found some software to allow the application of an ISO file to a flash drive. It's called flashboot. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.
