When I try to create a New VM using the Astaro VMWARE for ESX Zip file, the .vmdk files are not recognized as compatible files.
I am running ESX 3.01 with Virtual Center and using the VIC to manage the environment. 
What am I missing.

    Have you solved your issue already? 

    You must convert the disks, so they fit for the ESX Server. Just copy the zip into a directory on a vmfs file system and extract the content. There you have a script (astaro_va_installer_ESX_v3.sh) which you need to start. In case the script doesn't have executable rights, enter chmod a+x astaro_va_installer_ESX_v3.sh.

    ./astaro_va_installer_ESX_v3.sh 

    to start the installation.
