PCI Slot on ASG120

I found a PCI Slot on the ASG120 I have. Could I put a low profile PCI riser card and install a fourth NIC? Would the ASG120 recognize it?

Best regards,

Dayne

  • Anytime you add a NIC to a machine running ASL, you have to backup, re-install, and restore.

There is a hack involving editing the modules files, you should be able to find it on these forums.

    HOWEVER,
Either of the above will probably void your warranty & support on an appliance.

  • Also, there is a special ISO image that is used on the ASG appliances, it may not detect the additional NIC (it's anyone's guess). In any event, I'd bet adding an interface in this manner would void your Astaro support.
