ASG V6 appliance upgrade kit

My current platform is an ASG 220 on version 6.304.
 
I noticed that at up2date.astaro.com in the notes for 7.004, it mentions an ASG V6 appliance upgrade kit.  Makes me think that the conversion won't be as simple as an up2date.  
 
Does anyone have any details they can share about what this kit entails and if I need to hit up the powers that be for a budget to purchase the kit?

    AFAIK, you should only need to backup the configuration, plug in a bootable USB CD-ROM drive with the special appliance ISO, install, login, restore the configuration... Not sure what the "kit" will include... perhaps it will be one of these nifty bootable USB thumb drives--I have one with 7.001 (I think) on it setup on a bootable CDFS partition that someone gave me--of course, 7.001 won't restore a 6.304 backup, though.

    hi there, 
    the so called Upgrade Kit is still in testing, we needed to postpone it to Mid June. But this upgrade kit will feature a button in the V6 WebAdmin which will on the fly upgrade an ASG V6 to V7 without a cdrom.

    But the faster way would be to simply reinstall the box with an ASG V7 Appliance image.

    Very nice.  So if I'm understaning you correctly Gert, the "kit" is just a fancy name for 6.305, doesn't involve extra hardware, and won't cost extra.
     
    I'm going to wait for this to come out to get onto the V7 train.  We only have the one ASG, I'm limited to when I can take it off-line for maintenance,  and I really don't want to spend half a night on a weekend having to manually redo the configuration.  [:)]
