7.002 Not Stable... V6 hangs @ GRUB

Ok, I like Astaro, it has everything I need apart from not being stable [:@] 

V7.002 is what i have been trying, I loaded it all up, configured everything and then left the machine idle... it only has 1 ethernet wire plugged in, to the onboard network which I intend to use as a 'management' interface. I could not access the box and it wouldn't answer pings, once reset (buttoned on case) it then works fine... I tried looking in the logs, and there is a huge gap in the logs where it had apparently locked up, I couldn't see anything glaring out as an error... It appeared to only run normally for a few hours before the log-gap. Leave it idle for a while and it locks again... there is no way I can install that for production use if it crashes when its not even being used [:(] 

I have turned on NAT MASQ, DNS, Firewall, HTTP/FTP Proxy & AV, NTP and PPTP VPN access services.

I tried to use V6 (latest iso download) which installs fine but then refuses to boot, it stops when it says "GRUB" on the screen and goes no further... any ideas how to fix that, would V6 be more stable than V7... is there something in V7 which causes that behaviour above?

    on the v6 install pass noapic to the kernel.  You my need to pass noapic no usb nopcmcia if that doesn't work.

    Try changing the LBA settings for the hard drive in the BIOS.

    FYI - running ASG V7.002 on a Astaro ASG220 .. runs real smooth .. all the toys switched on .. seems the Hardware matters ..

    Seems to work if I install V6 in 'classic' mode, so I shall see how stable it is after a few days...

    Hi all,
    I encounterd the same prob. at the first time installing ASG 7.00X , it was the Hard Disk ,
    changed it and everything resolved.
    Another kind of prob at the second time was the OS of the WEBADMIN interface (Winzozz+EXPL@#eeeer???)... :
    a rootkit that by itself did a extra-partition in the Master HD outside from the WIN-OS (maybe in the MBR of the OS-the 8 MBytes out of C: partition-) =Low-Level format and everythigs is resolved.
    Now I use ASG 7.002 with Debian 4.0 (Bill? NO-THANKYOU)on the webmin and clients machines and the things are very faster than ASG 6.303 and everything is on a PII machine (350MHz , 384MByte RAM) with Web ,FTP  and POP3 proxies activated , IP_Masq  , using MLDonkey 24-24H and a lot of another things.

    I also have a similar problem. I even went and got 2 network cards that were listed as supported but no matter what I do, it always end up hanging up and not responding to pings.
