Installation Fails When Partitioning Hard Disk

Hey, I'm trying to install ASG v7 for the first time. Everything goes fine until it tries to partition the hard drive and then I get the "Installation failed. Please remove CD-ROM and restart the system".

This is an AMD Duron 950MHz, 256MB RAM, 10GB HD.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

I know the spec says it will work with a 10gb disk, but try something larger, usually fixes that problem.

I have a 40gig that I'll try tomorrow, but does ASL really require that much space? I'd prefer to use the 10gig just because it's too small for much else, and most linux I've installed only uses 2 or 3 gigs fully installed. I'll see what the 40 does, but I'm just wondering if it's the disk size that matters or just something with the drive itself.

Try and switch tty's, you will see debug output there. Besides, a larger disk can't hurt - the system itself isn't too big, but you usually also want same space for logs, proxy caches etc. And larger disk usually means newer -> faster access times and more cache. [:)]

Alright the 40gig worked. Now I just can't seem to get it on the network.

you really should have at least 512 megs in that machine. I can almost bet that machine will fall over once it's been running for a few days. A gig is what asl7 really wants though.
