[v7.002]slow & can't pass first admin authentication page

Hi,

This is my first thread and for last  couple of days I read & search the board trying to fix this problem before asking, but can't sorry !!
this is the message I got: "unable to complete backend request, please click shift-reload in your browser to attempt re-login"

zorzor got similr to my problem but with at management>>up2date and markus steps next can't help because I can't pass first page, how about  7.001 Patch can it help and how to do it please ?

Please do the following steps:
1) Login into WebAdmin
2) Click the menu item "Management"
3) Click the sub menu item "System Settings"
4) Click the tab "Shell Access"
5) Fill out the box "Shell user passwords"
6) Click the "Set specified passwords" button

    It's fixed guys, I reinstalled another fresh copy and got it working fantastic and very fast !

    For me it does not work. I will go back to asg6 until the converter will be out of beta-status.

    You are using v7.005 aren't you.

    I has most definitely been fixed. What versions of IE or firefox are you running?

    michaelxy, the converter is out of beta and in final form in 7.005. It is limited in what it will convert though, just so that your aware.
     
    The backup converter has the following limitations:
    Only backups from 6.303 or later are supported.
    HA configuration will not be converted.
    Remote Syslog will not be converted.
    Site-to-site and Remote Access VPN: Only PPTP settings will be converted.
    Intrusion Protection settings will not be converted.
    Network and service groups: Groups containing other groups will be expanded.
    Packetfilter: QoS settings of packetfilter rules will not be converted.
    Interfaces: DHCP on Eth-VLAN is unsupported in V7.
    Interfaces: Configured Ethernet aliases that are disabled will not be converted.
    E-mail address fields (such as System >> Settings >> Administrator Contact) will not be converted.
    HTTP proxy configuration will not be converted.
    SMTP proxy configuration will not be converted.
    Remote user authentication services will not be converted.
    DHCP relay will not be converted.
