Host Definitions & DHCP

I want to use Astaro at my house and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs.  I just finished listening to the online tutorial on Definitions, I see that I can create a Host definition for a particular user based on the IP address of that user's computer.  But the computers are assigned IPs via DHCP.  I know the IPs don't change much, but they certainly could, right?  Should I disable DHCP and just assign IPs statically?

Currently DHCP is enabled on my linksys router which is connected to my cable modem.  If I continue to use DHCP, should I have Astaro assign IPs instead of my linksys router?  Or doesn't it matter?

    Mapping mac addresses with ASG, you can forget dhcp service on linksys.
    In this way you'll create your network definitions as you need.

    Never use two dhcp on the lan, except when you can define advanced options as MS do.
