Boot problem V7.....

Hello all,

I am trying to install v7 on a SATA drive (150 gb Raptor). I have set the BIOS to "Native IDE" and during install the drive is seen and partitioned etc... The install appears to go just fine.

When install is complete, I reboot the box and I get the error "No bootable device found,, press any key".

Any thoughts on how I can get around this problem? I would really like to try v7!

    RockinRay,
    did you tell it to boot from the hard drive? Most bios allow you to choose the boot order, mine is CD 1st, then hard. You must also make sure the hard drive is on the available drive list and at the top.

    (my current firewall is an ordinary IDE, but the one I cut my teeth on has a 160gb sata and works well. I am trying this thing out as a lowpower device).

    I will check this but I am fairly sure my boot order is correct - CD then HD - I will report back and I appreciate the help!!
