Newbie to Astaro installs, so be gentle on critz. [:)]
Installed 6.3 on a sony vaio rx580 with three of the following nics installed
- ibm etherjet 10/100
- linksys nc100
- the onboard sony rtl-8139
the iso install seems to go alright down its list of package checks to install of files. When I get to the point of eject cd connect up your admin int and connect to the box is where i'm breaking down. (default ip address was select for 1st time install purposes (192.168.2.100/24) the onboard was selected as the int to have the default addressing applied.
when the system reboots I see on the screen all the hw pass its posts and then what I assume the astaro image to begin its load. (99 99 99 99...) all the 9's stop after about 8 or 9 rows. I wait and then try to ping the int 192.168.2.100 with no success. The admin workstation has an ip address of 192.168.2.50/24 no default gateway and is on the same switch/hub as the astaro int. No ping ever comes back. I've also tried to connect via web broswer (firefox 2.0.0.1) to https://192.168.2.100/ and to https://192.168.2.100:4444 no results. I see a link like on the switch and the nic.
Tried to set the other nics as the admin int too but same results. Any ideas?
