7.001 Argh!

I just manually uploaded the 7.001 update to my system and got massively spammed by the system

The Up2date progress window had not even finished the update (states Starting service: /etc/init.d/mdw at 87%)

Before I managed to hit the reset button on the system I had received around 250 emails telling me socksd was not running and it was being restarted...

Manually reset the system via reset switch [:(]

Hi Simon,

did you disabled the "Limit notifications" under Management » Notifications?
On what kind of hardware did this happen?

No, I had not disabled the limit notifications.

Hardware was AMD AM2 Dual Core 3500+ with 2GB of RAM and 80GB Raptor hard disk... Should be plenty especially given this is not yet a production machine.
