multiple NIC limit in home license?

I've used Astaro at home for a few years, and I've introduced it at two previous jobs I've had.  

I'm running v6 (at home) currently but have installed v7 to try out.  On the v6 box I have an onboard 3COM NIC and a quad-port Sun NIC that both work well with the Astaro software.

On the v7 box, I don't have another 4-port NIC but I've got 5 individual NICs installed (When I installed ASG there were only 2 in place), yet ASG only sees 2 (eth0 and eth1).  

As a test, I booted a SuSE 10.1 rescue CD, and all 5 NICs were visible.

Is this a limitation of:

- the home user license
- ASG's system or kernel 
- the fact that I installed ASG with only 2 and it's not seeing the new HW

    I just reinstalled ASG to rule out the last possibility and that, it appears, was the problem.

    All NICs were discovered during installation.


    Sorry for replying to my own post.  Hope this helps someone else.

    Becareful with that configuration, as each configured interface uses one of your ten allowed IP counts.

    Home user maximum of 10 IPs as seen by the ASG. V7 is different to v6, under v6 it was only filtered IPs that were counted, now all IPs are counted including the internal interface IP.
    From other posts if you use static in each device and don't give it a gateway, the IP isn't counted.

    Hi there, 

    the issue that local configured interfaces are part if the allowed ip addresses has been fixed.
