Configure Firewall via External Interface...

Hi Guys,

I need to configure our Astaro Gateway via the External Interface. How can I allow Web Admin access on the External Interface? One major problem is the internal network interface will have an unroutable ip address, so I will no be able to access it via remote.

just by putting the IP you come from into the allowed-networks in the webadmin-settings (or put Any there if you like it hot :-). that´s it. you don´t have to bother for interfaces here.

You can access Webadmin from outside the local network without specifically enabling external access to Webadmin, by simply opening a PPTP VPN first, and then browsing to Webadmin inside the VPN tunnel.
