Installation challenges - hardware related

Hi there

I am installing on an IBM eServer 326m which has dual AMD core duo processors, and dual Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit ethernet cards- BCM570x.

The first challenge appears at the very first prompt.  I type "smp" and hit enter, and get the error "

So I continue with a standard installation.

It runs through and detects the hardware, detects the jolly processors, but tells me there are no network cards.

I have bios updated everything possible, turned off PXE boot.  Am I missing something?  [:S]

    The Broadcoms should be included in the tg3 module because they are rather common. Possible that IBM did a little "homemade" on them, but don't heared anything about those server having trouble with linux. What version are you trying to install, 6.303?
