I have noticed a number of times that my virus database (both) on my home system gets wiped. This causes grief for all my proxy users until I track the problem.
Today I finally caught the reason I think and that is -
"Pattern Up2Date failed: an MD5sum error occurred for the following files:
main.cvd
Please restart Pattern Up2Date.
