Ver 6 just installed, Can Not Access Internet but can ping external

I just installed ver 6, set masq from internal to exteranl, set rule to allow source internal network any, service any, destination any. I can ping internet sites including my service providers dns address with valid response from within webmin but I can not bring up website win browser. It seems like http is blocked even though I have a rule that says allow all traffic . I have proxy set for http as transparent, I then tried no proxie for http. I do have prox for dns. I can't even bring up the website for google using ip address in leu of name.

Please help if you can. It would be greatly appreciated.

    You need to change your rule to
    internal any any allow
    your explanation is not clear to me.

    If you are using the proxies have you included your internal network in the allowed to use list?

    To force the http proxy you will need to block http in the rules.

    At this stage let us concentrate on getting general access working, then implement each proxy one at a time.

    I appoligize for not being clear about the rule I have in place. I do have the rule set to allow the source (internal network) privileges to access any destination service on any destination port. I disabled all proxies. I have set internal network masq. to external host address on eth1. I still am unable to access internet (bring up web page for an exteranl host). Am I missing something here? I was able to ping www.google.com along with my ISP DNS server addresses. It's almost like something is preventing me from form port 80/443 on external network.

    Time to get in deep.

    1/. how do you allocate you PC IP addresses?
    2/. I suspect you use static
    a. you will need to add the ASG internal address as your gateway and DNS in your PCs IP config.

    Nothing is blocking you, you just haven't told the PC what it should talk to, to get into the www.

    Your right, no default route assigned. So the interface would arp all day with no where to go. Thanks for your help.
