VMWare cpu usage problem

Hi,

i try to replace my astaro box by a VM but with vmware server 1.0.1 29996, but the cpu usage on the host (windows 2003 SP1) drop to 100% as soon as i start the astaro virtual appliance.

Any idea ?

I'm having problems with VMWare as well, but I've run into this a couple times. It's usually to do with network configuration in the VM that conflicts with something else on the network. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Ok, like I mentioned I did run into this a couple times, but now that I've got the VMWare Server network settings all straightened out I do not get any excessive CPU usage. I detailed how I set it up HERE, I hope it helps. This is assuming, of course, that the system is capable enough of handling the load of all the proxying in a VM.
