I am trying to install ASL 6.3 on an old pc. [:)] The instillation goes fine, gets to the "After the system has restarted, browse too ..." screen, after I reboot I get this when it boots from the harddrive:

It will do nothing more than that. [:S]
I connected to the NIC I chose to log in to with a crossover cable. It would connect, but pings to 192.168.2.100 would time out. The LEDs on the Astaro box's NIC would blink when a ping packet was sent though.
Hardware is:
mobo: Gigabyte GA-7VR [ http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=1365 ]
CPU: Athlon XP 2800 (being seen by the mobo as a xp 2000, this is only a temporary CPU to test with, I am putting it back in its original rig now, and have a real XP 2000 coming within a week.
RAM: 512 MB DDR 333
Harddrive: Old 10GB Quantam Fireball (at Primary slave. For some reason it is not detected if I set the jumper to master, or infact any setting, only works with no jumper shunt)
NICs:
2x D-Link DFE-530TX (I have 3 all together, but it only detects one out of 2/3 installed [:S] )
1x US Robotics NIC. Not sure which model, it says "KN13027290" on the top of the PCB, but nothing on google for that.
I had a look at this thread, which has a somewhat similar problem: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/52/t/25733 . The harddrive has LBA on in the BIOS, but there are no options to change the type of LBA as suggested in that thread.
The motherboard BIOS version is not the latest, I have flashed the BIOS with the latest version, but it would not detect the CD drive, so I had to flash it back to the one it came with.
