deinstall Astaro and format HD with FAT

Hello
I would like to deinstall the Astaro FW software and format the harddisk with FAT or NTFS.
I don't understand Linux. It would be great if someone could describe how I need to do that.

Thanks

  • hi googler ,
to do a good job you can follow the instructions of KKnecht but I think to do the best ( erase the ASL MBR, boot partition and the rest) look for in the NET "Power Max Utility" and do a "Low level Format", than "fdisk" and after you can install in a "NEW" HDisk what you want.
    ciao e miao
  • No utils are needed... boot up ASL, login as root, and
    cat /dev/zero > /dev/hda
    or
    cat /dev/zero > /dev/sda
will erase the (IDE or SCSI) HD
