ASG hangs up...

Hi guys

i had little problems with my astaro box. it has crashed a few times in the last week...

no access is possible and at the local shell login, i am not able to write anything... just the curser is blinking...

what i found is this here in the kernel logs:

2006:07:29-23:59:46 (none) kernel: Ingress scheduler: Classifier actions prefered over netfilter
2006:07:29-23:59:56 (none) kernel: HTB init, kernel part version 3.17

i found in google (5min search) that other people had problems with netfilter and ingress scheduling.......

are there some changes between 6.300 and 6.301 on the linux kernel?

    ok, i have reinstalled the firewall with the 6.300 ISO, without apply the newest up2date package 6.301. Since then, the firewall runs stable... when i had installed the newest fix, it has crased after few hours...why? i don't know.


    My config is:

    home license

    transparent http proxy with AV and SP
    transparent pop3 proxy with AV and SpamP

    4 networks
    IPS, and all the NAT and Packetfilter rules, wich are needed....


    Has someone else outthere problems with an applied 6.301 installation???

    this morning I rebooted the firewall (Dell PoweEdge 1750 - ASL 6.300)
    Now it seems to work but this is a strange behavior.

    are your machine crashed? are you not able to connect to the internet or to the box itself?

    Yes, kernel panic and no connection to/from Internet/LAN.
    The only solution was the reboot.

    Do you have 6.300 or 6.301? hope that it will run now for a few hours... I had checked my full system for hardware errors, also changed nic's, but doesn't work. now im running with 6.300, because i had troubles with 6.301 and now want to look, if there are the same dump with 6.300

    This ASL was working for more than a week with 6.300 and by analyzing the logs, I found that it stopped to work on 29 july at 01:17 AM.

    I have another ASL with the same hardware but it's 6.203 and it's still working without any problems...

    Ok... I have running now a 6.300 to test what happend with this box... it runs now for about 14 hours....

    In my option something has changed with 6.2 oder 6.3. I don't have any problems running ASL 5 on the same hardway. Maybe the hardware is not compatible with the kernel used in ASL 6 ???

    Anyway, like Krischeu I wrote to the support first and I get the same response that the support is only for second level support. I think it is unbelievable that their are no responses from astaro to these similar threads. I think astaro has a quality problem with the current versions.

    If I can't see any solutions, I will switch back to ASL 5. And after the end of my maintenance contract I will choose an other solution. Any suggestions ?
