We did try to install an ASL V6.202 for upgrading from 5.207 to 6.xx. We did plug the external CD using an USB link as we have always done...
The installation did start but stopped on booting on linux Kernel for...hours...
I did try by using the "classic" keyword. I did go on further but stopped after installing the USB hub (there are 4 USB ports on this machine).
We did a complete install using the 5.207 CD without any trouble, so the HW is OK.
Any idea ? Shoudl we use a CD drive connected thru the IDE bus ? Any help will be welcome...
