BIG PROBLEMS during installation of Astaro Security Gateway V6

Dear Board,

I have a really big prob with the installation of ASL!

My Hardware is:

HP NetServer LT6000r Quad Xeon-700MHz/1024MB/2x9.1 GB HD/RAID the RAID Controller is HP NetRAID.

If i install the ASL and the Server boots up, i arrive the asl installation box. After Hardwarescan ASL says, that there are no Harddisks. Maybe ASL don´t know that controller... So I deaktivate this controller and switched on to Symbios controller, which tells the OS only SCSI devices. So if I back at the installation Menu, the Hardwarescan grows up, but nothing happend. On tty3 it says, that it has probed out SCSI devices, found the right driver, resetting scsi bus... but... NOTHING... ARGH... I have tried all I have found in my mind. Could you please help me troubleshooting and get the System up and running?

    Have you purchased ASL 6?  If so, use support through the MyAstaro portal.
    (Top right menu on this page)

    If not, have you checked the hardware compatibility documentation to see if these controllers are supported?

    No, i don´t. Only have had downloaded and registrated for private use...
    And the Symbios SCSI device is listed in the Hardware white paper.
    But installation is not possible and i don´t know why!

    I think there are a couple of issues.
    1/. I think you need at least 10gb of disk space on one drive
    2/. The home use version doesn't recognise 2 disks, it only works with one.
    3/. I don't think the software allows for raid arrays or jbod disks, but that is only a guess.

    Jabba... i got it.

    The Problem solving issue was, that there was one bar of Working Memory, that was ECC cached with an invalid function... So if the System started up, it freezes all Time....

    This was cause I have tried to use the ECC Bars in my eServer.

    So, otherwise I will say that the possibilities you have said with the restricatations of the private licence is absolutely right. AND the NetRAID Controller is not supportet by Astaro.

    But now I have put the Memory Bars in my eServer, it has now 1 GHZ P 3 in a dual slot ( e.g. dual board with one Processor ) and 1 GB ECC RAM. This is in my opinion a great System for 1 Server in Server Secure Network, 1 IP Phone and 4 Workstations... am I right?

    By the way, could you tell me, how i have to configure Astaro, the there is no way to go to Internet, if you don´t use a proxy, so that Astaro is a Aplication Level Security Gateway?
    And the Server should directly routed ( in Server Secure Network ) to the internet and DynDns Service, without proxys, exclute SIP Proxy. But Internal Network must use Proxy´s AND From Internal Network to the Server in Server Secure Network should be limited to a few Services... Could you please help me that way?
