After the Up2date Fails on 6.100. I have the following on the screen:
Up2Date Service
Tue Jul 18 18:00:54 EDT 2006
000 Running Version: 6.004
001 System Up2Date: Started installation upto 6.100
002 Searching for update from 6.004 to 6.005 or higher
003 Verifying signature and decrypt (v 6.100) for //var/up2date/6.100.tar.gpg
004 Pre-Stop-Scripting ... Nothing to do
005 :: Stopping MiddleWare..done
006 :: Stopping ConfDaemon..done
007 Post-Stop-Scripting ... Nothing to do
008 Starting Installer ...
009 Pre-Start-Scripting ...
010 Started /var/up2date/6.100/update61 in pre_start mode
011 Ok
012 System Up2Date failed: Error occured while running installer
013 Did not dumpRolling Back ... Finished
So it looks fine, then appears to give no helpful explanation of it's death.
I looked in the main logs and don't see anything else, but I might be looking in the
wrong place, usually I go for /var/log. Any others?
Other bits of info:
- Before beginning, I verified that the file 6.100.tar.gpg and directory
6.100 were present.
- I monitored partition space and that was not a problem.
- Upon attempting to go back into "System ==> Up2date Service" I get the
following messages on screen:
Your license for System Up2Date
is not present or has expired.
- According to my license info in myastaro, I have a Version 5.0 licence,
, Home use only, never expires.
I have tried to find info regarding whether I need to upgrade the license
and if so, how to go about this.
Any assistance, tips on what to read are greatly appreciated. I've done a few hours (most of the day) trying to work around it. Thanks...
