Multiple IP's on PPP-OE

I have a client with DSL.  Their ISP requires PPP-OE and a USER/PASSWORD authentication to connect properly.

They have been assigned static Public IP addresses and have a block of 6 Public addresses. I need to configure these public IP's as Multiple IP Addresses on the external interface. 

The challenge is that within the Astaro Configuration, it does not allow you to define multiple IP's when using PPP-OE.  I have been told by the client that PPP-OE is the only option (Technically, if the ISP would allow it, we could use Standard Ethernet, but in testing we have found that this breaks all outbound Internet traffic).

Is there a way to get around this?  Would leaving the Primary as PPP-OE the way it is -- and then defining a "Standard Ethernet" interface on the same NIC (ETH1) work?

Is this Limitation a limitation in the Astaro software or is it a limitation of the PPP-OE protocol?

    Thats a rather old standard, where the Router or Modem acted like a PPPoE bridge, allowing each client behind the Router/Bridge to build its own PPPoE connection. 
    Most providers dropped this technology because it was not very usefull. 

    Untested solution, connect the modem via HUB to the external Firewall interface, and allow ports udp:5198 and udp:5199 through the Firewall.
    Then you have to configure a DSL connection on each client, so each Client builds its own DSL connection.

    Thanks for the response.  I am completely confused now though...

    The topology  is no different than if someone had a cablemodem or regular DSL.  Clients get an IP address, gateway, dns info from an internal DHCP server.  They don't know anything about the DSL setup - to them it's just a router like anything else. 

    So You lost me when you said to configure a DSL connection on each client.? I've never seen that setup before and was not even aware there was an option for it.

    I think I will hold to my guns and push for finding a non-pppoe service provider.

    I think the best solution for you  is to buy a DSL Router with PPPoE Support Like a Zyxel 660....
    Then configure the Router with Username and Password from your ISP. In the configuration of the LAN you have to use the official adress (one for the Router) and the Router has to be in routing mode (not NAT...) - then you can configure all the other IPs on your Firewall!
    That's what we always do!!!
