Installing Additional Software on top of Astaro

Can I install additional software on top of Astaro? For example, if I want to IPMI packages [or any other packages], can I do so? If so, how would I do so and if there are any restrictions, what are they? Thanks for your help.

I believe that doing so may invalidate your warranty and may destablize your firewall.

Thanks for your reply Aodhan. But does that mean that I can't install any additional software without invalidating the license, even if it's not going to affect the kernel, etc.? For example, installing something like ntop is sure to be safe, but would it invalidate my license?

You risk voiding support, but up2date should still work, if you're reasonably careful.

If you're really careful, you can always undo whatever you install.
