I think you need to ask why won't it boot from CDROM?

Is the BIOS not giving the boot from CDROM option?  If not, it's probably too old to run ASL anyway.

If it is and it's still not booting, try the following:
1) Try a PS2 keyboard rather than a USB one. (Yes odd, but I can replicate this).
2) Ensure the CDROM is set as a Master device.
3) Check the IDE cable, the CDROM should be on the end of the cable. Not the middle.
4) Try burning the ISO at 8x or 4x speed.  High speed burns don't seem to work too well with the ASL ISO.

I do not know of any floppy install method.

Legacy USB Keyboard support. If the Bios dosn't support it, it will not be detected at boot-time.

Oddly enough, the USB keyboard DOES work at boot time on one system here when you want to "Press DEL to enter BIOS"

But after that it doesn't seem to work as I cannot "Press a key to boot from CDROM"
Can hammer away and nothing happens... Replacing with a PS/2 keyboard worked though.

Its a bug - by BIOS or USB Root Hub on Board. Please update BIOS or change the Board.

It is a p2 IBM system. No the bios does not support cdrom boot. Yes My ISO
works just fine,I am writting this behing my firewall and it works.I was just
wanting to know if it supported some form of floppy boot. But I thank everyone for the suggestions.

Another option is to install the HD in another machine with the same nics, and then move it to the desired machine.

I would assume that the different hardware detection,etc of different machine
would be redetected by astaro? Thanks for info I will still give this option a try. Otherwise I will tell them get a machine that will boot from cdrom.
