VFS: Cannot open root device "807"

Hi Guys, I just wondering what do you edit to remove a boot device, eg a CD device from boot up sequence.

It seems that when you install Astaro, and remove the CDROM device from the computer, the boot sequence is hardcoded to try and resync with CDROM device. The boot sequence then spits out a VFS error and halts.

Reson being i need to remove the CDROM Unit after i install Astaro as the server doesn't have room for a CDROM.

Appreciate ne feedback. No ones seemed to have a thread relating any VFS problems as such.

No problem here. Neither with USB or IDE drives. What kind of controller is on the board.
Thats normaly a problem with some soft-raid controllers, that don't support legacy mode.

A few of those "modern" server ide soft raid controllers don't support legacy mode, and are not supported by the astaro. Example the Primergy R100S3.
