Off to a bad start....

I can not seem to create a CD that will boot. I tried two different PC's. All the data is there when I look at the disk, it just goes right by and boot from the HD.

I thought that would be the easy part :-)

Are you sure you have the BIOS configured to boot from CD? It should be listed before the HD in the BIOS configuration, otherwise BIOS will see an OS on the HD and boot that instead of even trying to boot off of CD.

Aha sounds like that'll be it then coz you can't use the std wizard to write the disk... you need to choose 'burn image' from one of the menu's (can't recall which as I use Alchohol 120%).

It might not be your CD Image, make sure the PC you boot from does NOT have the Hard Disk option in the BIOS set to AUTO

Set it to Manual and LBA addressing and get the type correct for the disk you have. Basically Auto define it with AUTO then switch to MANUAL and keep the settings.

Sometimes you can boot the CD ISO and Install then you don't get a restart, same problem !

Yep - the key word was "boot image" I found it on Nero and it worked
