I am trying to install Astaro on an AMD Athlon 1200MHz, 768MB DDR, nVidia MX400 video card, Maxtor 80GB, Asus 40X CDROM, 3Com 100Mbps nic + Netgear 100Mbps nic. Just an old system I used to be using as a server. I have 6.200 060321-2 of Astaro, also tried with 6.105-060228.
I either get to the checksum stage or just past formatting the hard drives and then it goes to a screen saying "Install Failed" and tells me to reboot. No other error message.
I tried replacing a few parts with no luck. Then I tried it on a completely different system and got the same result with both CD's. That system is slightly more modern and was running Kororaa Live XGL right before I tried Astaro.
I'm super frustrated because both of my systems were running fedora core linux and were completely stable for months at a time. I'm not sure why it's such a pain to install Astaro.
I burned the CD's using different burners and different OS'es. 6.105 using cdrecord in linux. 6.200 using Nero in WinXP.
Any ideas would be helpful.
