My English isn't very well, but I try my best:
Today I took an old Server runnig Win2K Server (AMD K6-2, 384MB, 20GB, DVD-ROM, FDD, 2xNIC). My Plan was to install the Astaro Sec. Gateway on it. I downloaded the latest ISO Image from Astaro, burnt it wih Nero 7.
Starting from CD is no problem. You see the screen with "press Enter to install" I've done this and then the two tasks run through. You can see just for a short moment "Done." But then the PC restarts on its own (hard reset (full memory check)).
Some solutions without solution:
- Win2K is running without problems (its still on the hdd ... ???)
- Knoppix 4.02 is starting without probs
- ISO re-downloaded an burnt again on 3 differnt CDR's
- exchanged the memory
- HDD exchanged
- NICs exchanged
The Knowledgebase doesn't say anything about this problem. I have no idea anymore.

Habe meine IT-Struktur ein bisschen umgebaut. Dabei habe ich einen Server gekickt. (Darauf lief ein Win2k Server als Fallover mit AD und DNS Replica). Ausstattung: AMD K6-2, 384 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD, DVD-ROM, FDD, 2x NIC.
Auf dieser Kiste wollte ich die Astaro installieren. Nun passiert allerdings immer folgendes Phänomen: Ich boote von der aktuellsten Astaro-CD, funktioniert auch ohne Probleme. Dann drückt man ja einmal enter. Die beiden Tasks laufen auch durch. Man kann dann ganz kurz "Done." lesen und der Server startet sofort neu (Hardreset).
Win2k start normal und hat keine Probleme
Knoppix 4.02 startet ohne Probleme
Image neu runtergeladen und neugebrannt -> keine Funktion
Speicher getauscht k.F.
HDD getauscht k.F.
NICs ausgebaut k.F.
Astaro KB sagt zu diesem Problem leider auch nichts.
