Astaro default gateway ... 2 is possible ?

hi, anyone knows if it's possible to set 2 different default gateways for 2 different internet interfaces ?

eth1 62.94.82.160/29 def gw 62.94.82.161
eth2 85.41.208.232/29 def gw 85.41.208.233

eth3 is my internal network 172.16.x.x 

any tips & triks??????????

  • In a routing table, there can only be one default gateway, the path of last resort. You must create specific routes to send traffic elsewhere. On your NICs, you should only have a single default gateway configured, which is on the primary WAN link. Do not create any other default gateway entries.

  • THe only time one can define 2 default gateways is in configuring a failover interface for connection to the internet, but it won't go active unless the primary interface goes down. If you are wanting to distribute bandwidth usage over 2 or more ISPs, you will want to use Policy routing.
