High System load average

Hi,

i have a problem with the system load average.
PC:
   1666MHz
   396MB DDR RAM
   SCSI HDD
   4 NICs
ASL V6.102

After installation and the first reboot the system is working fine. But as soon as i do another restart the CPU load average is higher than 3, it doesn't change for a week.

I also tried other hardware but still the same always after the second restart.

Another fact: If i stop the confdaemon service, load goes to zero. But of course, thats not the solution i thought of.

Can anyone tell me where my problem is and how to fix it?

have you restored a backup file? some other settings? or is this a fresh installation without any settings?

Hi,

i have installed the system completly new. Later i made some changes in the webfrontend (in order to access to the internet). I didn't use any backupfiles.
