Installing a new network card

I had a card go bad on me, I was wondering if there was an easy way to replace the card without having to reinstall the whole Astaro Distro again. I know I can backup and restore my config, but I don't think that the card came up last time. Do I need to manually go in a add the drivers or recompile the kernel? TIA

If you replace the card with an identical one, you shouldn't have to change anything.

I can't find an identical one, so I'm having to use a new card.

Well, officially, you're supposed to reinstall, but if you search these forums, you'll probably find instructions mentioning /etc/modules and /etc/modules.conf
