Performance Tuning

Anyone have any performance tuning tips?  What to turn off/on? Didn't see much in the manual.  I've beem trying to turn off the CLAM av but it wont let me, even though no proxies are on.  The only thing I've noticed is a slight delay when browsing pages on the network once and awhile.

    If you're not using any proxies, there shouldn't be any perf issues.

    You can check the Network, CPU and Memory graphs in Reporting to see how everything looks.

    Make sure you have ASL's DNS setup right (should point to your company or your ISP's DNS resolvers).

    What dns? I'm not using the DNS proxy..  All boxes inside can access the dns from our NOC facility.

    Then I don't see any reason for ASL to be slowing things down.

    If you believe there are problems, please describe your ASL hardware, # of users, # of P2P users, and your internet connection.

    If your NOC isn't local, using the DNS proxy would probably speed things up slightly, btw.
